Awosh! Hope to find you guys doing well. As you might know we have reached the finals of the Durex Ultimate Battle being held @ the Lucky Fish Festival in Gauteng... Westonaria to be exact. The Fest promises to be a huge party running from Thursday the 2nd - Sunday the 5thy October 2008, with amazing band lineups and awesome stages, arenas, chill zones and camping areas. There's a store for everything you've forgotten at home, which includes free place to charge phones and an ATM!!! It was aweful, vrot, dirrrty, tyring, and hopeless, with very rich, stinky, sour cheese sauce on eggs bennedict! guest lodge??? more like a GUEST DISlodge!! I realy realy passionately hate Johannesburg, and anything within 100miles from it!!! lalala IM Happy now!!

Mornin! Well in case your wondering we won the Vodacom Live Music Awards battle of the bands! We also walked away with the best original song prize. Oh Yeah!!! We will probably be recording between June/ July at the SonyBMG studios in Gauteng and we are looking to maybe organise a couple of gigs in or around the area too potentially. Serendipity has a way of working out...

Morning. Well we made the finals of the Vodacom Live Music Awards and we're really stoked. Algoa FM has been really great by advertising the 3FU Party Bus that's heading down to East London to take fans to support us in our efforts to win 20Grand and a weeks recording with SonyBMG. If we win then you guys can expect a full album to be on sale by next year! We've finally got a name for our untitled track, and it's called 'Changes.' We also just finished another song called 'Arrows' and it's a really jamming song that has some really really good lyrics that have some really really great meaning. Come to the next gig to hear them for yourself. Other news is that we will be playing at Pool City Walmer again as part of the Alternative Project on the 30th of May. Come have a listen to the new songs and bring your mates for a good time and let them be converted and join the experience that is 3 Flights Up fan-dom. That's pretty much it for now, but we'll keep you up to date with as much as possible. Facebook is the place to be though for up to date happenings of the 3FU. yo yo. this is Joe. Mike and myself are sitting here at school now (he's an english teacher and i'm the sports administrator) and i'm loafing while he's in the class actually doing some work... loser! at the moment i have the sudden urge to drive the school bus all over the place and go visit Vince while he sits on a pile of dirt at his construction site... loser! just playing, we;re all super tight buddies and they call me worse to my face so it's all good in the hood. we're in the process of waiting for the results of who made the finals for the Vodacom Live Music Awards battle of the bands competition. we're pretty hopeful about the comp. there are some good bands and we hope to be up there with them. obviously winning the whole thing will be the top prize and with the winnings we'll try finish off our full length debut album, which all of you must buy! we're also busy wrapping up the ending of our new song, which is of yet untitled, it's a little different from the stuff you'd expect to hear from us but it is still unmistakebly 3 Flights Up. Yes Please! Forgive the enthusiasm, but after suffering countless tortures in front of a computer screen we have FINALLY been able to upload our music... what a flipping mission. Anyways, moving on into sunshine and happiness, thanks to those of you who came out to the gig on the 4th of April. It was awesome and we had lotsa fun. Hope you did too. No other new news just yet, but T-Shirts are still on sale for R60 which is very decent considering the quality of shirt and hours of hectic designing that went into the shirts. We're currently debating on going up to Joburg or Stellenbosch round end of April beginning of May time for a couple of gigs and a radio appearance or a live performance on DSTV, but we'll figure it out. Now that we're on the mix, tell ALL your friends to vote for our song "How I Learned To Fly" and help us hit the playlist in a big way. Here's where we really need you guys.
